Annie Clover’s Curved Illusions 33, 34 from Virtual Quilter

Love it. Warm colouring, space for quilting, unusual applique and interesting pieces!

More of the same, but with some quilting lines added.

Annie Clover at Christmas 24, 25, 26 from Virtual Quilter

Even with the one block not coloured the same as the others of it’s kind, I love it!

By comparison the second designs is nice, but doesn’t have the WOW factor.

Another nice one! I like the border colours better in this one.

Penny’s Patch Play 17, 18 from Virtual Quilter

It is busy, but I like it anyway.

Like the second one too … it has room for the quilting to shine.

Festival Garden 21, 22 from Virtual Quilter

Spring has sprung down under … well, at least the calendar has been turned over. Many of the spring bulbs jumped into action early despite a rather cold winter, and almond blossoms have been and gone.

I think I should plant a creeper on that trellis … or perhaps embroider one!

Back to Basics 21, 22 from Virtual Quilter

Something to brighten up the day.

Some very basic blocks from the EQ library , and some very bright fabrics from the EQ library stash, along with some black for the background.

Log Cabin Leaf Central 51, 52, 53, 54, 55 from Virtual Quilter

It is now autumn down under, which means a large proportion of the land is brown after a long, hot summer, and in a small part of the country imported trees from the upper half of earth are showing their autumn colours, even of it is springtime in their home country.

I love the background created in these designs by the Log Cabin frames around the leaves.

The missing leaves in the design above would have to be quilted … with leaf shapes of course.

This project file got lost in the move from one computer to the other, and now ...

9 Patch 'n' Apps 7×7 18, 19, 20 from Virtual Quilter

I think I have started with the best one today.

In fact, I have them in order of my preference.

When I started blogging a quilt design every day I would take designs from wherever in the project file I found one I liked for that day. I soon learned that with dozens of designs in just about every project it was going to end up a mess, so made a rule that I had to share them in order. From that day on I have done exactly that, and added a the name and number as I went. If ...

Daze of Christmas 15, 16, 17 from Virtual Quilter

Like the first offering for today … could be just a general quilt, with just enough of the Christmas colours to be seasonal.

Mind you, in Australia we rarely need a quilt during the Christmas break, which is why I have a Christmas quilt with no wadding!

Change the background colour, add a little more red, and it is a little more like Christmas!

I love this last one!

Hexie Logs 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 from Virtual Quilter

Middle of the week already, but I love all five of today’s designs, so it is not all bad.

My first love of patchwork is applique, and though I love playing with Log Cabin designs, I am not all that enthused about all that piecing. Something like this would be more likely to get onto my list of future projects long before a regular Log Cabin quilt.

I do like that tricky bit around the centre of the design above … even if it is pieced.

After completion of the kitchen cupboard facelift, all that remains is dust … and it ...
